WHY WAS IT CREATED?
The competition was created to promote classical music and ignite a passion for the harp in young people. Starting from 2023, the competition will be held in memory of Gabriella Bosio, internationally renowned harpist and harp teacher at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Turin, who authored several books for harp students and was part of the panel of judges in the past years. Professor Bosio was the first to introduce the Suzuki Method for teaching the harp in Italy and Europe and her legacy will never be forgotten.
A good teacher must have in-depth knowledge of the subject matter and be able to explain why things must be done a certain way, breaking down difficult concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand.
“Teaching means knowing in depth why and how one must do this; it means understanding why a certain thing can be difficult and therefore knowing how to make it less difficult and easily understandable

The online mode allows as many people as possible to participate without taking on the burden, even financial, of physically going to a place to take the competition; moreover, the online mode also allows you to overcome emotional blocks and face the competition with more serenity.
